Personalized Displays

You belong among the wildflowers

In this photo is a display I created to showcase this vinyl album cover of Wildflowers by Tom Petty. In the surrounding frames are items and ticket stubs from the times I saw Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. Although it is somewhat of a work in progress, it inspired me with the idea of creating displays for others with their meaningful items. Whether it be photos, ticket stubs, sports memorabilia, album covers, etc., you may have them laying around waiting for you to frame them or do something special with them.  Somehow, the weeks turn in to years, and well, you know... the stuff is still buried  in a box someplace... I could create a WOW design for your home or business! Or as a gift for someone special in your life! I could make something personal for you to give these memories a place of honor in your world.

the gift of words left by a friend

In the frame on the lower left, is a quote made by a friend of mine, shortly before he lost his life to cancer a year ago. My friend Jon shared my incredible passion for music, concerts, vinyl records and the stylings of Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. I keep his words there to remind me every day...

"It's an amazing thing to have this wonderful human being life."

 Jon Louis Boudreau

wildflower Reflections

When I was working on my "Wildflowers Wall', I found this pressed flower, stained glass piece. I keep in the window, directly across from the display. On a sunny day, there are prisms all over the room. In the late afternoon, when the sun is sinking in the west, it casts red reflections on to the artwork on the opposite wall. Natures stage lighting!

wildflowers gathered long ago

The flowers we picked on James's first day of kindergarten.

Daniel only three years old.

The artwork yet to be completed; still intact in a flower press.

The years gone by with alarming speed.

James now a senior in high school; Daniel a sophomore.

Lucky are you who can get your children to pose for a first day of school photo.

Off to Dunks. Off in a different direction.

The dried flowers capturing a moment in my eternity; a piece of their eternity.

A kiss for Mom before the careless door slam.

One on the forehead from James.

One on each cheek from Daniel to balance things out.

Thank goodness some things never change.

A new moment in my eternity; in their eternity.

A new hope. A new year.

Hoping I've done all I could to prepare them for this world.

I know I have done my best.
